Rysavá jalovica (1971)
Adam Krt, a village farmer and shoemaker, lives in a happy marriage with his wife Eva. He is only afraid of her when he gets drunk and does something stupid. One day Adam successfully sells all the shoes he has made at a fair and uses the money to buy a heifer on his way home, directly from his neighbour Trnka (I. Rajniak). While the two of them are having a lavish "old-mash" in the pub, the heifer disappears. The trouble is that Adam has paid for the animal at the pub but has not yet taken possession of it. The two neighbours can neither find the heifer, nor can they agree who actually owned the lost animal....
Advokátka Věra (1937)
Věra Donátová has graduated from law school and wants to open a law firm. However, she is financially dependent on her parents. Her emancipated mother supports her efforts, but her father gives Věra money on the condition that if her practice is not successful within a year, she will marry the son of Consul Raboch. Věra has no clients. The first case is assigned to her ex officio. Věra visits her client Petr Kučera, known as Tygr, in a prison cell and achieves his release against his will. Alena (1947)
Master armourer Tomás has young wife Alena, of whom he is very jealous. One day the ruler of town sees Alena and decides to win her over for himself. To get a free hand for his love affairs, he sends Master Tomás to acquire more skills in Flanders. Jealous husband does not know how to secure fidelity of his beautiful wife while he is away, and finally accepts aid of the devil, to whom he signs his soul as a reward. Devil in the disguise of Master Ondrej works in Tomás's workshop and protects Alena against various courtiers and the ruler of town. But finally he falls in love with Alena himself and becomes her lover.
